EventApp360 Privacy Statement
The German Society for Oral Implantology e.V. (DGOI) takes the protection of your personal data very seriously.
We have technical and administrative measures in place to ensure that both we and our external service providers comply with the data protection regulations.

When you send us inquiries, we will store your information, including the contact data you have provided, in order to process your inquiry. We will not share your data without your consent.
Please note that there may be security gaps when transmitting data over the Internet (for example, when communicating via email), therefore, data cannot be completely protected from access by third parties.
II. How we use your personal data
In order to provide our service, we use the following categories of personal data:
– Address data
– Contact data, including email address
– Company information, position in the company
– User data and access information
– User image
– User authorization
– Information on actions, such as appointments, registrations and cancellations
– Information about events
– Information on payment for paid events, including bank and credit card details
When registering via LinkedIn or Google, users will be forwarded to the respective registration page for selecting a user name and linking their account to our services. The user’s LinkedIn or Google account information is forwarded upon linking. The following information may be transmitted, depending on the social media network: name, profile picture, country, hometown, email address, date of birth, gender and/or other information. We only use the complete name, email address and login data from this data.

We do not process special categories of personal data pursuant to Art. 9 GDPR.
III. Declaration of the purpose for which we collect this data
We process this data for the specific purpose of providing you with information about the event as part of event management, to allow you to reserve events or individual parts of events, to provide you with a platform for communication with other participants and to allow you to participate in our Facebook feed. The use of data for other purposes is expressly excluded.
IV. Standard periods for the erasure of data
The data will be erased after the legal or contractual retention periods have expired. Data which is not subject to this retention period will be erased immediately.
V. Information about the transmission of data to third parties and its purpose
We process data with the help of service providers. However, data will only be transmitted if this is covered by the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation, for example, by integration as part of processing which is carried out on our behalf in accordance with Section 28 GDPR.
In addition, the data we record when you use the apps will only be transmitted to third parties if this is required by law, determined by a court decision or if transmission is necessary for legal or criminal prosecution in the event of attacks on the DGOI’s infrastructure. Data will not be transmitted for other non-commercial or commercial purposes.
VI. App authorizations
The apps require the following permissions:
– Device and app history (retrieve running apps)
– Identity (find, add or remove accounts on the device)
– Location/device position
– Telephone (retrieve status and identity)
– Files/photos/media (read, change or delete memory contents)
– Camera (taking pictures and video)
– Microphone (recording audio)
– Device ID and call information (retrieve phone status and identity)

o Full multi-user interactive license
o Retrieve data from the Internet
o Retrieve network connections
o Create accounts and set passwords
o Pair with Bluetooth devices
o Access Bluetooth settings
o Access to all networks
o Control near-field communication
o Using accounts on the device
o Disable sleep mode
VII. Linking to social media platforms
Partners can include links to their social media pages in their profiles, including Facebook. When these links are accessed, the app will connect to these platforms and transfer data.

VIII. Objecting to App Tracking
The right to object to the creation of user profiles (Section 15 para. 3 of the German Telemedia Act (TMG), Section 13 para. 1 TMG). You may object at any time in the future if you no longer agree to the storage and evaluation of your data.:
In order to do this, select the following settings on your Android devices:
1. Go to Google settings
2. Select “Display”
3. Set “Opt out of interest-based ads” to “On.”
For Apple devices, proceed as follows:
1. Go to settings
2. Select “Privacy”
3. Go to the “Advertising” section
4. Set “Limit Ad Tracking” to “On.”
Choosing these settings can limit the use of the apps, because the apps have personalized functions that require the creation of a profile that can be assigned to a person. Therefore, these functions can no longer be used.

The DGOI reserves the right to update this privacy statement at any time in compliance with the applicable data protection regulations.
